“Wolves and women are relational by nature.”

— Dr. Clarissa Estes

Jaws and Paws is a wolf-dog sanctuary and wolf conservation organization run by women.

We strive to fight for wolf-dogs, wild wolves and animal rights.

Jaws and Paws’ mission is to save wolf dogs and other animals from abuse or neglect. We provide a permanent loving residence for them and our sanctuary is currently home to 20 rescued wolf-dogs. Our goal is to not only make a difference for wolf-dogs but also campaign for the recovery of wild wolves in California. Jaws and Paws is actively working on programs to re-list wolves on the Endangered Species Act and safeguard their future in California.

We just moved to a new location in Northern California that’s better suited for our animals! We need your help building new habitats, feeding our rescued babies, providing routine veterinary care for our wolf-dogs, and supporting the amazing women who care for them.

Our strategy towards protecting wolves in captivity and the wild is:

Rescue

Saving an animal from a harmful situation.

Sanctuary

Provide optimal veterinary care, large/suitable enclosures, healthy nutrition, and enrichment for
our rescues.

Connection

Building a bond with our rescues to optimize their quality of life and encourage enrichment.

Awareness

Show the true nature of wolves and incite people to protect them instead of being prejudiced against them.

To date, we've rescued over 100 wolves, wolf-dogs, dogs, cats and other animals from abuse/neglect.

Our versatile team is equipped with degrees and expertise in wildlife biology, veterinary science, conservation & resource studies, and environmental science.

Our women work tirelessly to not only administer care for our wolves, but rebrand the way in which much of the public views the species.

Help us continue our work.

Our work doesn’t stop at wolf conservation.
