Our founder, Anjali, rescued her dog Diamond from the Front Street Animal Shelter.

Upon discovering that she was a tiny percentage of wolf, she started doing research on the amount of wolf dogs that were dropped off at shelters annually. This was a major driving factor for her starting her own sanctuary.

Every year 8-10 million dogs and cats are euthanized because there aren’t enough people adopting from shelters. It’s so important to not buy from a breeder because there are millions of animals who need loving homes.

At Jaws and Paws, we save dogs and cats from death row at high risk kill shelters, and take in/foster dogs or cats who need homes. Before adopting any puppy or kitten out, we get them vetted and ensure they are healthy for their new forever homes. With the help of our amazing fosters, we are able to provide secure temporary homes for abandoned pets finding a permanent one. We currently don’t have any animals available for adoption, but check back soon!
